Feb 5, 2014 - For anyone who is interested I've ported a text-to-speech engine to the. Google's Android project includes an offline TTS engine called Pico.

Sheet Code: - Maps has stopped working - Pico TTS has stopped workingWhen I hit 'OK', I will be redirected to the Home screen. In order to repair the TTS-Engine, I found some instructions to copy the bin-files from CM7 out of the /system/tts/lang_pico-folder and put it via console in the same directory (which is empty in the a.m. The instructions were for another device and ROM, but I thought, why not giving it a try - but I failed. Getting the same error messages again, when I want to start the navigation app. Any ideas or solutions how to get Pico TTS working correctly?

It may be something silly such as a2sd or because it may be reading the tts from your sd card instead of internal.

Basically my nephew accidently did a factory reset around a month ago, from then I get used Google navigation and the sound doesn't work, also I use tasker to tell me when my phone fully charged but it never came up with voice over - what appeared was a txt saying tts unsupported. I've downloaded a voice engine called IVONA it does the job, but it sounds like my speaker is popped. Just asking where can I re download the original voice engine - pico tts. EDIT- will it be picco tts or SVOX engine? My phone it HTC sensation CARNT FIND pico tts on market, but can find SVOX HELP?
